Tā yě huì kāi-chē, yě huì xiū-chē.

He can both drive and repair a car.

whether…or

Nǐ qù wǒ yě qù, nǐ bú qù wǒ yě qù.
你去我也去，你不去我也去。
I will go whether you go or not.

still; yet

Nǐ bù shuō, wǒ yě zhī-dào.
你不说，我也知道。
You don’t have to tell me. I know already.

used to emphasis, often before a negative expression
